My girls, S and N have been revising their Santa wish lists for at least 8 months now. Every time they see a new toy in a magazine or hear an insane commercial, something gets added or taken away from list. Last night, we found the “Official Santa Wish List” note pad and decided to finalize them once and for all.
N’s Wish List (the 4 year old)
- “A baby doll that can talk, poop and pee.” Lovely.
- A new scooter “because mine is old and busted!” It works just fine.
- A new bike “because mine is a poopy baby diaper bike and it’s too small!” It is rather small but I’m not sure about the poopy diaper thing. ????
- Matzi Girls – I have now idea what that is but it sounds expensive.
- A laptop “because sissy wants one!” Figures.
- Clothes “because I’m a fashion girl!” Make that drama girl.
- Books “but not a lot of books because I already have a lot books.” Tell me something new.
- A Christmas gift card to Target because “I love Target!”
S’s Wish List (the 7 year old)
- A laptop “so I can play games and email my cousins.” I don’t think she’ll be getting an email address anytime soon. But we’ll see about the laptop.
- Zhu Zhu Pets “because they are SO cute!” And they’re hard to find and expensive. Wait. Do they poop and pee?
- New DS games “because I can’t find the other $372 worth of DS games that I lost.” Fail.
- Littlest Pet Shop toys. So she can lose all of them like the rest.
- EZ Bake Oven. Because there’s nothing like baking a cake with a 40W light bulb.
- A guitar learning book “so I can learn to play the one I got last year.” Dust collector.
- Barbie Doll’d Up Nails B-Nails Digital Nail Printer $180??? Ummm…no.
So that’s it. The lists are FINAL. I think.
Happy Holidays.

Ah, the joy of reading those lists and knowing that my kids are not the only ones.

Not so fast there daddy! Never fear the toy companies will put out some ridiculous “must have object” just as soon as your shopping is done. They are parent haters like that.

Is any list from any kid ever truly final? And those zhu zhu pet things are ridiculous. I know a mom that waited three hours in line at a store to get one. They’d have to pay me to do that. Then again, I can be a real scrooge this time of year.

on the 4 year olds list, #4, is probably meant as “moxie girls.” they’re from the company who used to make bratz dolls..remember there was that settlement with mattel and the makers of bratz dolls. mattell essentially owns the bratz line now, but mgm, the creators of the bratz dolls, have moved on and started moxie girls.
got it…lol as the father of 2 daughters also, we all keep up with these things.

Less than 10 things each, I’d say that’s a record! N’s descriptions are hilarious.

We’ve got it about a month ago. My kids are still playing with zhu zhu pets every day. Amazing! They are having great fun! We started with funhouse and one hamster, and end up building the whole city. My little one even sleeps with one of them, so we had to take batteries out of Nugget. I recommended this toy to all my friends with kids from 3 to 8 y.o.
