OMG this is great! Trust me when I tell you that men are as bad as women. They want someone my age with a supermodel body (despite having had kids) that wants to flounce around in a mini skirt. I'm way more comfy in a hoodie and jeans screaming at the TV watching a good football game. Supermodel? hell no, curves. Not fat (when this chick says its a few extra pounds the emphasis is on FEW).

I may have to do this now that I'm back in the dating pool yet again.

OMG what a fun idea. Reminds me to think outside of the box more often. I don't know if I could ever skydive (I'ma big chicken) but indoor is totally do-able. Looks like you both had a great time!

I'm a full-time single dad of a 9-year old daughter, I think you joined us on the #SingleParentsTalking Twitter kid farm chat last Friday. Enjoying picking through your blog now, and just wanted to stop by and say "Good job, dad!"

You will always be a Father, I am in the same boat with 1 2hr visit a week and every second weekend (have appealed the court order, want 50/50) I too miss my children and find that I feel "unfatherly" when I am not with them. I try to use my "off time" to plan events for them, write letters that I snail mail to them, create slide shows of our activities or create storybooks. I do this when I am not with my Girlfriend, and I wish you luck in that endeavor :)

I think you are what you feel. Your a 24/7 dad. If they called and needed something on a day when you didnt have them I doubt that would stop you from doing what was needed. I think it the limits of time right now, that wont always be.

Halloween is surely my boy's most beloved occasions of the season to set off trick or treating along with their classmates and friends and then they all gather at somebody's home to indulge in and readily share their candy.

There are so many successes you have, not failures. Sometimes it takes the death of a family member to see that. My brother passed a month ago and I quickly snapped out of my fog too. It's still been a difficult year but I'm not as hopeless as I once was. It's one life. Might as well fly while we can.

That is a strong post and took alot of balls to share. Thank you for that. I dont have experience dealing with that sort of heartache. To be honest , I dont want to. But I do know that the way I deal with pain is the exercise. I found that if I put my goal at complete and utter brute strength gain, then my problems dont seem so daunting anymore. Mind, body and spirit are all connected. and they typically follow each other no matter what path is chosen. Keep ya head up. I cant wait to read more..
